Giving Sunset Tower the VIP Treatment
A.J. Brown recently completed a $5 million renovation of the Sunset Tower at Hollywood Casino St. Louis Hotel in Maryland Heights, MO. The newly renovated space features 277 beautiful, revamped hotel rooms, including 14 suites.
Renovating the House
The Sunset Tower renovation included the upgrade of all guest rooms, featuring new furniture, flooring, casework, wall coverings, blackout shades, and artwork featuring iconic St. Louis locations. Wall-mounted flat screen televisions can be found in each room as well as remodeled baths with walk-in showers, and increased connectivity for charging mobile devices.
Upping the Ante
This project was completed in phases to accommodate the hotel’s guests, beginning with the first floor and gradually moving work upward floor by floor. Renovating the vast allotment of rooms within the required completion date was a challenge, though nothing our team of experienced contractors and construction workers couldn’t handle. The project was completed on budget and on time — just in time for the hotel’s summer concert season.
Hitting the Jackpot with A.J. Brown
A.J. Brown proudly served as the project’s general contractor, while design work was provided by Yeager Architecture of Overland Park, KS. The Sunset Tower renovation is part of an ongoing improvement plan, which in 2016 included updates to the Rodeo Tower and various other additions and updates to the casino grounds infrastructure.
As with any project of such scale, A.J. Brown was excited to oversee the renovation of such a popular regional attraction while also expanding our repertoire of contracting experience within the hospitality and entertainment industries.
