A.J. Brown Manages Roth Living Renovation Project

The A.J. Brown team recently managed a renovation project at Roth Living, which took a traditional 1930’s building and converted it into a modern design. Located 15 minutes west of Downtown St. Louis at 7800 Clayton Road, the Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove Showroom opened its doors in August.

Summarizing the Work

The showroom’s innovative facade now intersects a modern metal clad structural steel and seamless glazing, with classic red brick and green slate that speaks to the local character of St. Louis. The improvements are noticeable to the thousands of cars that pass by Roth Living each day.

A.J. Brown employees worked with representatives from Roth Living and the architect of record, Arch 11, to complete the work. The efforts set the stage for a design process to focus on the character of the building and how it relates to the surrounding classic St. Louis neighborhood charm.

The Region’s Architectural Style

The design team knew it could construct a more relevant building with a strong nod to the region’s traditional architectural style. “We love bringing new life to older buildings,” the project designer said. “Contrast of a daylight-filled showroom with the historic brick structure is a nice little dance between past and present.”

The same philosophy is executed inside the showroom. Upon entering the 5,000-square-foot space, kitchen inspiration awaits with a forward-thinking approach to a traditional aesthetic. Guests will also see minimal design with an expressive sense of space. Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove appliances are beautifully integrated into the chic cabinetry of William Ohs, Downsview and Gegg Design.

Enhancing the Consumer Experience

Incorporated into the high-design vignettes is a digital concept that elevates the consumer experience. The digital concept encourages consumers to be brave about exploring new possibilities with their design team.

Roth Living product experts offer visitors a guided tour to customize their appliance collection. Consumers see their curated appliances on a 9’ by 16’ TV and leave with a picture and product details to bring their unique design to life.

Come See for Yourself

Roth Living is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information on upcoming events or how Roth Living connects customers to high-end appliances, visit RothLiving.com.

In addition to the local store, Roth Living has locations in Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Salt Lake City. As a curator of innovation and docent of luxury, the business helps bring technology, ingenuity and style to kitchens.
