A.J. Brown Completes $210K Renovation at Villa Duchesne
A.J. Brown, Inc. recently completed a $210,000 renovation at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, which houses students in grades 3 through 12 at 801 South Spoede Road in Frontenac.
The three-month renovation constructed Villa Duchesne’s Global Education Center and Student Commons. It included a multipurpose area (for meetings, functions and international child education), plus separate rooms for juniors and sophomores. Students are now able to relax and socialize in the newly-designed space.
Improving Internal Culture
The project improves student life and gives Villa Duchesne additional resources that are positively impacting everyday life. With the help of our friends at Christner Architects, we were able to complete the project on schedule and within the budget.
Paying Attention to Detail
The Global Education Center’s multipurpose room needed to be consistent with the school’s architecture. That included refinished wood floors and detailed millwork on the walls and ceiling. Our team took a very organized approach and focused on a variety of details which can be seen in the new room.
Overcoming Obstacles
Obstacles are present in just about every project, but our company finds ways to consistently overcome those. Working on this major renovation while school was in session, our team did its best to reduce distracting sound and excessive dust while making sure every child was safe.
Folder & Brochure Win Marketing Excellence Award
A.J. Brown, Inc.’s most-recent folder, brochure and project sheets were recognized by the St. Louis chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). The full-color pieces, produced by Werremeyer Creative, feature the company’s services, advantages, markets and leadership.
The project was cited for excellence in the self-promotion and direct-mail category. Representatives from Werremeyer joined other local marketing agencies at the awards ceremony in mid-June. The biennial event honors some of the top marketing efforts in St. Louis across a variety of categories.
More than 250 packets have been distributed. The project has received universal praise for its simple, yet memorable, content organization and graphic presentation. Since releasing the materials, A.J. Brown has added several new clients to its portfolio.
